2020 Showcase Profile – Women in Tech Allies RDU, interview now live

We’re pleased to announce the first group to be featured in our 2020 Showcase Series – Women in Tech Allies RDU.

Women in Tech Allies is an RDU based group with a mission to advocate for diversity in technology through networking, tech talks, mentorship, etc.  Susan Wands and Alani Perry serve as organizers and both do a wonderful job.

The group is very active and meets multiple times per month, as is evident on their Meetup page.  They’re also in need of a few items to help them continue to grow and reach more people with their message.

We encourage everyone to watch the video to learn more, including how they differ from most women in tech organizations and how the community can help.

About the 2020 Showcase Series:
The series was started for one simple reason – to heighten awareness of organizations doing amazing things around the topic of diversity and inclusion, and to highlight what they need to grow and reach more people.  Hosting events and building community for more than a decade has confirmed what we already thought – most people will help if they know how.  The series is our small, yet hopefully effective, contribution.
